It was a great little place in Birch Bay, had a nice view of the bay. Place was quaint and clean. could hear other people, but wasn’t a big deal.

I booked this Birch Bay apartment as a retreat to wrap up work projects and rest before a busy season, and for the most part it was perfect for that. The space was clean, comfortable, cozy, and easy to heat during damp, chilly weather. The location is surrounded by beauty and generally feels peaceful. I was concerned about the lack of a stove but there is a hot plate & plug-in skillet & my host, Nichole, was generous to loan me her own crockpot, making it easy to cook simple meals. Nichole was also readily available & helpful as needed. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars comes down to noise. The living area is separated from the downstairs apartment by a door, and voices carried intensely through this space despite posted quiet hours. I could hear private conversations word for word. My host did her best to address this, and while it improved briefly, noise remained an issue for me. For many guests this may not be an issue, but for my needs it was stressful enough to dock a star.
